The objective of this agreement is the implementation of a collaboration programme for external academic internships for UPM students at Master Battery - Ciudadenergía and the completion of Final Degree and Master's Degree Projects.
The rector of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Guillermo Cisneros, and the CEO of Master Battery, Juan Carlos Hernández, have signed an educational cooperation agreement for internships and Final Degree and Final Master's Degree Projects, as well as other collaborative actions between the two entities. The agreement will have a duration of four years, which can be extended, and came into force on July 3rd.
The agreement is aimed at Master Battery and Ciudadenergía participating together with the Polytechnic University of Madrid in the practical training of its students. The training will be carried out at the facilities of the energy company and Ciudadenergía and is extended to collaboration with the teaching staff of the degrees taught at the UPM related to energy storage and accumulation.
The agreement includes the development of external academic internships: curricular and extracurricular, as well as collaboration with students in their Final Degree and Master's Degree projects related to energy storage.
One of the objectives of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid is to bring university education closer to the social and professional reality through relationships with collaborating institutions and entities that allow students to complete their training process by putting into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired through external internships that enable them to enter the world of work.
The Polytechnic University of Madrid was founded in 1971 with the integration of the Higher Technical Schools that until then constituted the Higher Polytechnic Institute.
