Saline Batteries

Saline batteries use atmospheric oxygen to produce electrochemical energy (cathode). The other active component is zinc strip (anode). The electrolyte is an aqueous gel solution of ammonium and zinc chloride (separator).

Discharge Properties

Stable voltage level.
Range of voltage: 1.5V; 7.5V; 9V.
Range of capacity: 35 - 130Ah.
Storage life: 3 years (capacity loss for each year is just 5%).
High reliability.
Slow self-discharging rate.
High energy density: 150Wh/kg.
Require no maintenance and no special procedures before being ready to use.
Activated by removing label or stopper on the top of the battery.
Can be satisfactorily used at temperatures ranging from -20°C to +45°C.
Variations in atmospheric humidity have no significant effect on their operating performance.
